EXPERIENCE: Health & Education

We have helped public institutions as well as health care providers.

Some of those legal services include the following:

• Acted on behalf of two of Alberta’s health boards and a nursing home advising them on various issues from corporate commercial to labour, and issues specific to the field of health care such as patient consent and ethical issues. Advice involved regulatory and medical staff issues, informed consent, patient choice, and potential negligence issues.
• Advising various health care professionals on their legal and ethical obligations as well as with general corporate and commercial advice.
• Represented an Alberta college in all employment matters.
• Advocating for funding from the Alberta government for an Alberta School Board.
• Represented health care providers with owner/associate relations, employment matters, and in dealing with regulatory and professional associations.
